Join us on Wednesday, June 26, for our Summer Membership Meeting here at the NewsGuild of New York. This is an opportunity for you to come see what your union has been up to, meet fellow colleagues, and of course, make your voice heard! Ask questions. Give comments. Tell us your ideas!
Keynote speaker, Fulbright Scholar and Guild member Jeff Mason, current White House Correspondent for Reuters, will talk about his experiences serving as a political reporter under the Trump administration as well as leading the fight for the first amendment as the former President of the White House Correspondents’ Association.
In addition to honoring the Keenan Award winner, the Guild will celebrate our newly-organized colleagues from Buzzfeed News, Quartz, Pitchfork, Ars Technica and Wirecutter with The Trailblazer Awards.
Local President Grant Glickson and Secretary-Treasurer Vincent Mallozzi will be on hand to provide local-wide updates and answer your questions.

ABOUT JEFF MASON
Jeff Mason is a White House Correspondent for Reuters. He has covered the beat since 2009 and has interviewed both President Obama and President Trump. He started his career in Frankfurt, Germany in 2000 and did a stint in Brussels from 2004-2007 before returning to the United States to cover the 2008 presidential campaign. Jeff served as the president of the White House Correspondents’ Association from 2016-2017, standing up for press freedoms at the beginning of the Trump administration. He is a graduate of Northwestern University, a native of Colorado, and a former Fulbright scholar.
